Job Description Job Description Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1 years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. A licensed Visually Impaired Teacher is sought for an onsite, itinerant position within a K-12 school setting in Greensburg, PA. This contract role involves working directly with students who have visual impairments across various grade levels, providing specialized instruction tailored to their unique learning needs. Responsibilities include: - Delivering individualized education programs to students with visual impairments across a K-12 caseload - Conducting assessments and collaborating with educational teams to develop appropriate instructional strategies - Serving as an itinerant teacher, traveling between schools or facilities as required to meet student needs - Assisting students in developing skills for independence, accessing curriculum, and utilizing assistive technology - Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with educational regulations Desired qualifications and experience: - Valid teaching license with certification in visual impairment - Experience working with students who are visually impaired in a school setting - Ability to manage a diverse caseload ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade - Strong communication skills with students, families, and educational staff - Flexibility to travel to multiple school sites as part of the itinerant role Working onsite provides an opportunity to engage closely with students, teachers, and support staff while making a significant impact on the academic and personal development of visually impaired learners.
