$21.48/hr to $31.19/hr. /n - Sr. MLT rates range from $22.82/hr to
$33.09/hr. /n - Lead MLT rates range from $25.00 to $35.51/hr. /n -
Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) rates range from $26.97/hr to
$35.51/hr. /n - Sr. MLS rates range from $28.86/hr to $40.43/hr. /n
- Lead MLS rates range from $29.71 to $43.73/hr. /n /n /n /n In
this role, there is opportunity to - /n /n - Perform qualitative
and quantitative laboratory tests with accuracy and efficiency,
adhering to established protocols and timelines. /n - Recognize and
appropriately respond to critical, abnormal, or unacceptable
results by following defined protocols and initiating corrective
actions. /n - Operate and maintain laboratory instruments by
conducting quality control, calibration, and minor repairs
according to written procedures. /n - Ensure compliance with
laboratory and hospital policies, including quality assurance,
safety, and regulatory guidelines. /n - Collect and process
specimens correctly, ensuring sample integrity and appropriateness
for testing. /n - Interact professionally with patients,
clinicians, and coworkers, addressing inquiries and communicating
results courteously and effectively. /n - Train and orient new
staff, students, or residents on laboratory procedures, equipment,
and safety practices as assigned. /n - Participate in test
development, equipment evaluation, and implementation of new
methodologies to support continuous improvement. /n Title and
starting pay rate of this position may vary based on experience and
education. /n Medical Laboratory Scientist: /n /n - Bachelor of
Science degree from an accredited college/university AND successful
completion of an accredited Medical Lab Scientist program OR /n -
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university
with a major in biological, chemical, or clinical laboratory
science AND ASCP or equivalent categorical or MLT certification OR
/n - Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited
college/university with a major in biological, chemical, physical,
or clinical laboratory science AND at least two years' experience
in a role equivalent to that of a Medical Laboratory Technician
(MLT) in a clinical laboratory. /n /n Medical Lab Technician: /n /n
- Associate's degree in a laboratory science with certification (or
eligible new graduate) from an accredited institution as a Medical
Laboratory Technician (MLT) OR /n - Bachelor of Science degree from
an accredited institution with a major in biological, chemical,
physical, or clinical laboratory science, with 6 months of clinical
laboratory experience OR /n - Equivalent education and experience
as defined by CLIA '88 for individuals performing high complexity
testing /n /n Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Medical
Laboratory Technician MLT(ASCP) or Clinical Laboratory Assistant
(CLA) certification preferred. New York license required for NY
