Your Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Plans, initiates, coordinates and monitors business relations with dedicated suppliers for the assigned categories.
  
• Develop category strategy in -alignment with Divisional and Corporate Purchasing initiatives.
  
• Implements profitable purchasing strategies and effective negotiation tactics in the assigned area.
  
• Organizes purchasing processes for production material.
  
• Provide leadership and direction to the Schaeffler North America organization
  
• Manages and optimizes the supplier portfolio to ensure quality, cost efficiency, on-time-delivery and compliance to terms of contracts.
  
• Negotiates prices and conditions and manages contracts with suppliers.
  
• Budget Management and yearly negotiations.
  
• Manage and actively look for savings opportunities based on define targets for the category.
  
• Experience on steel parts and machined components.
  
  Your Qualifications
  • 
    
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business or Supply Chain
    
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience.
    
  • Strong leadership skills, as well as Inter-cultural experience / skills is preferred.
    
  • Experience expected in the fields of material planning, manufacturing processes, purchasing and negotiation, contracting, lean management.
    
  • Excellent MS Office skills of tools like MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint.
    
  • SAP Skills preferred.
