Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Material Handler will use a Forklift Truck to move goods from one place to another while being extremely careful not to damage the goods and position them safely and accurately.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Move paper, printing materials and other products to and from the Warehouse to the Press Line or the Bindery Department
• Load and unload trucks
•  Inspect and maintain equipment daily
• Use a handheld bar code scanner
• Use of Shrink Wrap Machine
• Use of a Slitter Machine
• Track inventory and complete warehouse tally sheets indicating material weight, size and number of skids
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-3 years of formal job related training
• 1-3 years of job related work experience
• Must be dependable, reliable and responsible in fulfilling obligations
• Must work well with others.
• Must be flexible and open to change when needed
• Must have the ability to follow instructions
• Must be proven self-starter to complete projects/work orders.
• The ability to work up to 10-to-12-hour shifts.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of driving a forklift truck
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
