Job Description:
Clean Harbors, a leader in North America for delivering critical
environmental, energy, and industrial services, is seeking a
skilled CDL A/B Driver and Equipment Operator with specialized
experience in operating tankers and vehicles with manual
transmissions. This role is vital in ensuring the safe and
efficient transportation and handling of hazardous materials,
contributing directly to environmental protection efforts. The
successful candidate will operate specialized vehicles, manage
emergency responses, and perform industrial cleaning operations in
compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. Operate CDL
A/B vehicles with manual transmissions and tanker equipment safely
and efficiently. Transport and dispose of hazardous and
non-hazardous waste according to federal, state, and local
regulations. Perform emergency response duties as required,
including spill response and containment. Conduct pre-trip and
post-trip inspections to ensure equipment is in good working order.
Collaborate with dispatch coordinators to plan routes and track
deliveries. Maintain accurate logs of travel and cargo according to
Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Participate in
ongoing training and safety meetings to ensure compliance with OSHA
and other safety standards. Proficiency in operating CDL A/B
vehicles with manual transmission. Ability to handle and operate
tanker equipment. Strong understanding of DOT regulations and
safety standards. Effective communication and documentation skills.
Capable of physically demanding work and handling emergency
situations. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance 401k Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License
(CDL) with Tanker Endorsement. HAZWOPER certification (preferred
but not required). Clean driving record and capable of passing a
rigorous background and drug test.
