What will you do? - Ensure that identification is checked for proper admittance to the gaming floor - Conduct cash escorts as required - Observe, handle, and report procedural violations and illegal activity - Operate a motorized vehicle when necessary - Maintain crowd control as required - Defuse guest profanity and handle issues or complaints professionally More about you - High School Diploma or GED - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Hold and maintain a valid driver’s license, pass a motor vehicle record check, and a drug test - Must be able to be licensed by the State Gaming Commission - Ability to defuse difficult and sometimes emotionally charged situations when handling guest issues or complaints - Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times Physical requirements - Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time - Ability to communicate through a two-way radio - Bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying occasionally - Vision sufficient to perform duties day or night - Exposure to an occasionally smoky and loud environment Shift details Days Evenings Holidays M-F Weekends 8hr shift Who we are Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack in Wheeling, West Virginia, is a Delaware North-owned-and-operated regional gaming destination featuring 1,300 electronic gaming machines, 22 table games, live greyhound racing, and simulcast wagering.
