This travel nursing role offers strong team support, structured orientation, and hands-on mentorship in a community known for small-town charm and easy access to outdoor recreation./n /n/nJob Details/n /n - Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) / Emergency Department (ED) Nurse / Travel ER RN/n - Location: Glen Dale, WV 26038 (West Virginia nursing job)/n - Setting: Level III Trauma Center, 21-bed Emergency Department/n - Employment Type: Travel Contract (travel nursing job)/n - Contract Duration: 13 weeks/n - Start Date: March 8, 2026/n - End Date: June 7, 2026/n - Shift: 12-hour nights (7p-7a); occasional off-shifts (11a-11p or 3p-3a)/n - Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed/n - Charting System: EPIC (EPIC EMR experience preferred)/n - Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,020 - $2,130 per week/n /n/nRequirements & Qualifications/n /n - Active, unexpired Registered Nurse (RN) license (eligible for West Virginia licensure or currently licensed)/n - Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room (ER/ED) nursing experience/n - At least 1 prior successful travel assignment preferred/n - Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications/n - TNCC certification preferred/n - Critical care background preferred but not required/n - Experience with triage, ESI triage acuity scoring, and trauma nursing a plus/n - Must provide a copy of an unexpired driver’s license upon submission/n /n/nKey Responsibilities/n /n - Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a high-volume ED (average ~55 patients/day)/n - Manage a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 in the emergency department/n - Perform triage, rapid patient assessment, stabilization, and initiate evidence-based interventions/n - Care for diverse patient populations including behavioral health, respiratory and cardiac conditions, and occasional trauma/STEMI cases/n - Draw labs, interpret cardiac rhythms/strips, and collaborate with in-house respiratory therapy/n - Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR and communicate patient status to multidisciplinary teams/n - Work closely with physicians, PAs, LPNs, and ancillary staff to ensure optimal emergency department outcomes/n - Participate in orientation, ongoing mentorship, and departmental performance improvement initiatives/n /n/n /n This role is ideal for experienced ER RNs seeking travel nursing jobs in West Virginia or Emergency Department nurses looking for night shift opportunities.
