Job Description Job Description Salary: JOB DESCRIPTION:We are
looking for a highly qualified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to
provide patient assessment and diagnosis, formulate treatment
plans, prescribe medications, order laboratory test, interpret test
results, and provide patient education. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for providing care to patients
showing a change in mental status, chronic or urgent medical
condition. Work independently with other member of the medical
team, with entitlements to specific clinical privileges approve by
the Medical Executive Board. Perform patients histories and
physicals, risk factor assessment, ordering of therapeutic and
diagnostic tests; and attend consultations and appointments.
Prescribe medications following the clinics policy, formulary and
relevant regulations of the State. Consult with physicians on cases
that are beyond the scope of qualifications of PsycNP. Offering
counseling or psychotherapy. Put all relevant patient data in
medical records and case presentations. Formulate, execute and
review healthcare education delivered to patients and families for
diseases prevention. Ensure smooth communication with other health
professionals for effective delivering of clinic service to
patients. Provide consultation to the clinics nursing and medical
staff for improvement in their work performance, which enhances
overall quality service delivery of the clinic. QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have Masters in Nursing and Post Masters program in Advanced
Practice Role Must have Psychiatric APN Certification 2 years
experience as Psychiatric APN COMPETENCIES Instill hope that change
is possible. Develop a collaborative relationship with treatment
team. Help people establish personally meaningful goals to strive
towards Provide information about mental illness and treatment
options. Teach skills for reducing relapses, dealing with stress,
and coping with symptoms. Provide information about where to obtain
needed resources. Help people develop or enhance their natural
supports for managing their illness and pursuing their goals.

a full time position. Hours are scheduled to accommodate an
Inpatient Facility. WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in an
Inpatient office environment. WORKING CONDITIONS: Working
