Job Description Job Description Certified Medical Examiner - Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Detroit, MI | Warren, MI | Flint & Milford, MI Schedule: Mon-Fri | 7:00 AM-3:00 PM Hiring: 2 Providers We are hiring two Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to serve as Certified Medical Examiners performing DOT physicals. Coverage Needs Position 1: Warren, MI Position 2: Detroit, Flint & Milford, MI Responsibilities Perform DOT physical exams (vision, hearing, BP, urinalysis) Apply FMCSA medical standards to determine driver fitness Complete and sign MER and MEC forms Upload exam results to the NRCME by midnight next day Educate drivers on managing chronic conditions Requirements Active, unrestricted NP or PA license in Michigan Current FMCSA National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners certification Strong knowledge of 49 CFR 391.41 Highlights No nights, weekends, or call Predictable weekday schedule Focused, streamlined clinical role Apply today to join a structured, compliance-focused practice.
