ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Wheeling, West Virginia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care Unit Location Not specified Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule 12-hour day/night rotate, including weekends as scheduled. Job Description The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Intermediate Care Unit, managing patients with varying acuity levels. The nurse will be a key team member, participating in a dynamic and collaborative healthcare environment. Flexibility is essential as the role may require floating to other units and working holidays. Responsibilities - Manage a patient ratio averaging 1:5, with potential variance up to 1:6. - Administer medications and perform nursing duties including IV drips, telemetry, and patient assessments. - Work collaboratively with charge nurses, clinical assistants, and a team of healthcare professionals. - Provide patient care for common diagnoses including chest pain, CHF, arrhythmias, and post-procedural patients. - Promote a culture of safety and quality care within the unit. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure - Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. - Valid and unexpired state RN license. - Experience in an Intermediate Care Unit or related field is preferred.
