working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Morgantown,
West Virginia, 26506! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN

12-Hour Days Hours per Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Experience: Minimum

Certifications: BLS (AHA) required Must-Have: Must have EPIC
experience Description: Unit is a 29-bed unit currently undergoing
construction. All beds will be step down equipped with an opening
in the first quarter of 2026. Nurse to Patient Ratios: 3:1 for step
down, 6:1 for floor. Unit serves both floor and step-down patients
based on patient and hospital needs. Diverse patient population
with primarily medical diagnoses. Candidates should be able to
handle a 6-patient med-surg assignment or a 3-patient stepdown
assignment. RNs will have orders written to titrate drips such as
Heparin, insulin, anti-hypertensives, antiarrhythmics,
phenobarbital, ketamine, morphine/dilaudid/fentanyl PCAs, and TPN.
Charge RNs and House Supervisors are available 24/7. Charge RNs may
take an assignment when the unit first opens; the goal is to always
have a free charge RN. Clinical Associates (nurse aids) are present
on the unit, aiming for a ratio of 1:10. RT equipment such as CPAP
and BiPAP will be available on the floor and stepdown unit. HiFlow
and vents will also be available in stepdown, with adjustments
requiring ICU assistance. A remote telemetry surveillance center is
available; RNs are not expected to read their own strips. Central
monitoring is utilized within the unit using Phillips telemetry
monitoring equipment. 12-hour shifts are in place, with block
scheduling requests accommodated as possible. Weekend positions are
designated for Agency RNs. Working approximately half of all
recognized holidays is expected. There is no call or standby
requirement, but staff may float to other units as necessary. Scrub
color includes any combination of royal blue and white.
