Job Description Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg Observation

organizations in the world. South Pointe Hospital’s 7th Floor
Med/Surg and Observation Unit focuses on healing and surgery while
providing comprehensive care and services to adults with a wide
variety of diagnoses, such as chest pain, stomach pain, or
generalized weakness. With such variety, no two days are the same,
but you will be surrounded every day by a team of long-standing
nurses who welcome you with open arms. As a Registered Nurse (RN),
you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care,
implementing and monitoring patient care plans, administering
medication and treatments, assessing and coordinating patients’
discharge plans and monitoring, recording and communicating

sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and
responding to incidents and providing safety resources. A caregiver
in this position works 7:00PM – 7:30AM. A caregiver who excels in
this role will: - Provide direct nursing care. - Implement,
monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans. - Monitor,
record, document and communicate patients’ conditions. - Administer
prescribed medications and treatments. - Note and carry out
physician and nursing orders. - Assess and coordinate patients’
discharge needs. - Educate patients and their families. Minimum
qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: - Graduate
from an accredited school of professional nursing. - Current state
licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). - Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). -
One-year of current acute care RN experience. Will consider
military RN experience. Preferred qualifications for the ideal
future caregiver include: - Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN).
Pay Range Minimum hourly: $33.50 Maximum hourly: $53.60 The pay
range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range
for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be
determined after taking factors into consideration such as the
candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education. The
pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices
(e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not
include the value of Cleveland Clinic’s benefits package (e.g.,
