Job Description Job Description Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalist (LTAC) Athens, GA | Full-Time | 7-on / 7-off Schedule Competitive Pay We are hiring an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join a collaborative hospitalist team at a small, private Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital in Athens, GA. This role is ideal for an APP with hospital experience who enjoys caring for medically complex patients in a supportive, team-based environment. Why This Opportunity? •Small hospital setting (average census ~35 patients) •Strong physician support (1:1 APP-to-physician ratio) •Longer patient stays (25-30 days) allow meaningful continuity of care •Consistent 7-on / 7-off schedule •Flexible daily workflow once patient care is completed Schedule & Coverage •7-on / 7-off, Sunday-Saturday every other week •Day shift (typically under 12 hours; varies by patient load) •Rotating night call during on-weeks (shared with physician) •Nursing coverage: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM What You'll Do •Round on and manage a medically complex inpatient population •Perform admissions, daily progress notes, and discharges (with physician sign-off) •Collaborate closely with hospitalists, specialists, and nursing staff •Perform procedures within your scope, training, and certification •Maintain accurate and timely documentation Qualifications •Hospital-based experience required •Backgrounds considered: Med-Surg, ICU and ER •LTAC experience a plus, not required •Critical care experience strongly preferred •New grads considered on a case-by-case basis with strong ICU experience •Active Georgia PA or NP license (license-in-process may be considered) •BLS required •ACLS required (or obtained within 90 days) Benefits •Medical, dental, and vision insurance •401(k) with employer match •Life and disability coverage •Tuition reimbursement: $5,000/year (up to $15,000 total) •CEU reimbursement (with approval) •Employee assistance and professional development programs
