qualified Neuro RN in Morgantown, West Virginia, 26506! Pay
Information $2,218 per week About The Position Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Neuro
MedSurg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Night Shift Hours per
Shift: 7 PM - 7:30 AM, working either Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
OR Saturday, Sunday, and Monday Experience: Minimum of 2 years
License: Required Certifications: BLS required; ACLS & NIHSS
preferred Must-Have: Need strong overall Neuro experience.
Description: The unit consists of 20 beds, including 14 floor beds
and 6 stepdown beds. Patient to nurse ratios are 1:5-6 for floor
patients. Charge nursing is available 24/7. There are nurse aids on
the unit with ratios of 1:7-10. Respiratory therapy is available
around the clock, and RN's are not required to have ventilator
experience. Patients may include those with neurosciences
conditions, deep brain stimulators, strokes, seizures,
surgical/post-operative spines, and other neurological disorders.
Titration of drips is based on physician orders in a step-down
setting. Common titratable drips may include Amiodarone, Cardizem,
Nitro, dopamine, Nipride, Ketamine, Lasix, Bumex, and Insulin.
Monitor techs are available, and RN's do not have to read strips;
verification of monitor tech strip reading is documented in the
charting system. There may be a floating requirement to other units
if needed. Weekend work is required as part of the schedule,
including holidays. Dress code includes any combination of white
