noticing.This full-time role is at Hinkley company headquarters in
Avon Lake, OH. This position is NOT A FULLY REMOTE ROLE, it will
require several days working ON-SITE each week. Summary: The Data
Governance Manager leads and manages all organization-wide data
governance activities and will have responsibility for improving
the quality while managing the protection of sensitive data and
information assets. The position will focus on establishing and
ensuring adherence to an enterprise data governance framework for
data policies, standards, and practices, both at the Department,
Business and Functional area level, to achieve the required level
of consistency, quality, and protection to meet overall business
needs. Serving as a point of escalation for governance, data
quality and protection issues and will work closely with Business
and Functional area leadership to improve the quality and value of
core data assets, as well as support the strategic requirements of
the department.Primary Tasks and Responsibilities
- Establish and govern an enterprise data governance
implementation roadmap including strategic priorities for the
development of information-based capabilities.
- Roll out an enterprise-wide data governance framework, with a
focus on the improvement of data quality and the protection of
sensitive data through modifications to organization behavior
policies and standards, principles, governance metrics, processes,
related tools, and data architecture.
- Manage and optimize the use of ERP and PLM to ensure data
integrity throughout product and customer lifecycle.
- Fosters a data-driven culture by ensuring enterprise data is
manageable and provides support to accelerate the data-driven
transformation of relevant business processes.
- Resolve end-to-end issues regarding Data Governance across the
enterprise.
- Define roles and responsibilities related to data governance
and ensure clear accountability for the stewardship of the
company's principal information assets.
- Serve as a liaison between Business and Functional areas and
technology to ensure that data-related business requirements for
protecting sensitive data are clearly defined, communicated, and
well understood and considered as part of operational
prioritization and planning.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of data quality
standards, data protection standards, and adoption requirements
across the enterprise.
- Define indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure
compliance with data-related policies, standards, roles and
responsibilities, and adoption requirements.
- Establish and maintain data dictionaries and repositories to
provide a comprehensive view of the company's data assets.
- Develop & maintain inventory of the enterprise information
maps, including authoritative systems, and owners.Level and Type of
Education Required
- Bachelor's degree required. Acceptable areas include Business /
Business related, Computer Science, Mathematics, MIS, or
Information Management.Desired Qualifications and Work Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a major distribution
organization, with large-scale data or project management and
oversight experience.
- Extensive experience working within ERP systems (NetSuite
preferred).
- Prior PLM software experience required (WFX preferred).
- Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology
issues related to the management of enterprise information assets
and approaches related to data protection.
- Knowledge of data related to industry regulatory requirements
and emerging trends and issues.
- Expert knowledge of risk data architecture and technology
solutions.
- Demonstrates highest integrity and work ethic, embraces change,
drives results, and manages adversity effectively.
- Expert analytical skills to identify trends, analyze data, and
make informed decisions. Strong problem solver, capable of
resolving complex data challenges and implementing process
improvements.
- Excellent relationship building skills, proven ability to
influence working teams and key partners.
- Track record of successfully prioritizing and managing multiple
priorities while maintaining a positive, professional image of the
organization.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate
effectively, verbally and in writing, to a variety of
audiences.
- Proven hands-on project management and change management
experience. Able to see big picture, but comfortable executing
tactical issues.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and
adapt to changes quickly.
- Proficient in developing and coaching individuals, recruiting
talent, managing performance, and fostering teamwork and
