Coltene has an opening for an experienced Product Manager. The Endodontic Product Manager prepares and executes development plans for assigned product lines. The Product Manager's influence should be felt at the inception stage and throughout the life cycle of assigned products. Through creativity, imagination, technical knowledge and sales insight, the Product Manager must inspire and strongly influence the selling of all products. Through interaction with our customers, distributors and sales force, the Product Manager is responsible for identifying unmet needs in assigned product markets, keeping abreast of all technical and competitive developments, and identifying and addressing all opportunities and threats.Duties and responsibilities

  • Acts as entrepreneur of the endodontic product segment.
  • Investigates on a continual basis, opportunities for new products and line extensions and makes the appropriate analyses and recommendations.
  • Works with Creative Services Manager to develop Web Pages, Literature, Videos, and other sales tools and social media content.
  • Communicates product information to the R&D and Marketing teams including new technical and product improvement data.
  • Monitors and evaluates competitive product activity and transmits pertinent information to Sales and Marketing management.
  • Maintains a high level of technical and scientific expertise in assigned product markets through reading, educational programs, seminars and interfacing with opinion leaders and clinicians.
  • Works with the CE Manager to develop Endodontic KOLs and key influencers in the market.
  • Coordinates product development activities with international counterparts and assists in the development of product programs, and promotional activities.
  • Assists where required in assuring product line compliance with GMP, MDF and ISO directives.
  • Initiates and develops packaging, labeling and instructions for use and coordinates their translation for international uses.
  • Trains field Sales Representatives and Customer Service personnel regarding new products via presentations and written materials. Ensures field Sales Representatives and Customer Service product knowledge is current via frequent communication, both written and oral.
  • Prepares special studies, reports and recommendations and participates in marketing conferences, sales meetings, etc., as appropriate.
  • Attends tradeshows and co-travels with the sales team when appropriate.     • Master's degree (M.A.) or equivalent preferred but not required
    • 5-10 years of progressive experience in marketing or product management in Dental preferred. Experience in the Endodontic segment of Dentistry preferred.
    • Appropriate combination of education and experience may also be acceptable
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Visio, Power Point, Outlook) with emphasis on word processing, spreadsheet applications and Power Point presentations
    • Ability to problem solve and analyze
    • Technical capacity including decision making, communication (both verbal and written) and reporting effectively internally and externally
    • Timely and effective responses to common inquires
    • Works under general supervision with the expectation of a wide range of creativity and latitudeWorking conditionsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee works primarily in an office environment with occasional visits to the manufacturing area. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate. This is a full-time exempt position requiring at least 40 hours per week, with hours of work and days scheduled determined by the Director of Marketing. Special circumstances such as evening or weekend work at tradeshows or courses might occur on occasion to deliver results to grow share and drive revenue growth. This position requires 15% travel.
