Job Description Job Description Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Industrial Electrician to join our manufacturing facility team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems, with the ability to build, renovate, and maintain various electrical installations. This role requires proficiency in using power tools and hand tools, as well as a solid understanding of electrical codes and schematics. Summary: Install, repair, construct, adjust, modify and service all types of electric and electronic equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Receives wiring diagrams, drawings, specifications and instructions covering the scheduled and emergency repair, installation and inspection work to be done. Analyzes all types of circuits, wiring diagrams, and drawings as required to install, repair, adjust, calibrate, construct, modify or service all types of electric and electronic devices and systems, including communication systems various mill production equipment, electronic computing and control systems, power and distribution control equipment, measuring, recording, processing and control devices, indicating devices and gauges, etc. Plans details of working procedures to determine material or replacement needs and selects a logical approach to "trouble shooting" and repair problems. Answers trouble calls. Makes sketches of parts and layouts designs and constructs adaptions or conversions of component parts. Assembles, inspects, adjusts, repairs, or replaces faulty parts and wiring on all types of electronic devices. Makes mechanical and electrical repairs as required in connection with servicing of electrical and electronic equipment. Inspects, dismantles, services, reassembles, tests, and adjusts equipment for safe and proper operation. Maintains, install or repairs communication cables or wiring. Makes power cable spices, climbs on buildings, cranes, towers and mill equipment to make inspections, repairs and installations. Complete written inspection reports setting forth recommended repairs for submission to maintenance department, human resources, and applicable operating department. Specific Skills Required: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Competent in AC and DC crane control, trouble shooting and repair. Ability to analyze and repair complex equipment without the benefit of drawings and/or manuals Competencies Make detailed inspection of complex machinery and make recommendations for repair. Exercise considerable judgment in maintenance work, write reports and make and execute recommendations. Considerable care and attention required to prevent injury to others during test operation of cranes and equipment. Close mental or visual application required to perform detailed inspection and repair of complex equipment. Physical exertion required in handling tools and operating machinery and crane controls. Exposed to fall from high structures. Occasionally exposed to high voltage Technical Skills - Shares expertise with others.
