Seeking a full-time experienced Trailer Mechanic for our Scio, OH location. This position is dedicated to working independently in a field environment; candidates must have good troubleshooting and problem solving skills.Certified in annual DOT inspections is a plus. Hourly pay rate is directly related to the amount of industry experience and specific job and will be discussed with managers during interview.*2023 Military Friendly Employer and a Military Spouse Friendly Employer**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** Responsible for diagnosing, inspecting, repairing and determining root cause of equipment failures.* Diagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment.* Perform preventative maintenance, service, and inspections on vehicles, equipment, and trailers* Mounting and dismount tires as needed* Ability to diagnose and repair 407 (crude) and MC331 (propane) trailers.* Keep accurate and detailed records of work performed.* Perform repairs in a timely and professional manner.* Use safe working practices and follow all company safety requirements.* Ability to respond to rotating on-call requests made after normal business hours.* Requires the ability to work extended hours in the shop or in the field, in all types of weather conditions.*Qualifications:** Minimum of 21 years of age* *MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS** Minimum of 1 years experience* High school diploma or general education degree [GED].* Must have a valid driver's license with approvable driving record* Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol screening and will be entered into a random testing pool* Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.* Speak, write, read, and understand English* Knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic systems* CDL a plus*Education & Experience:** High school diploma or general education degree [GED].* 2+ years of experience in DOT service/repair.* Prior experience with crude trailers a plus.*Work Environment*The duties of this position are performed entirely outdoors during all weather and elements of the location and season.Badlands Tank Lines, LLC seeks to attract and retain a high performing and diverse workforce in which employees differences are respected and valued to better meet the varying needs of the diverse customers we serve.
