Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. A Special Education Teacher is sought for the 2025-2026 school year to support elementary students in a K-8 resource classroom setting. This contract position begins as soon as possible and continues through May 2026. Location: Warren, MI School Level: Elementary Job Duration: Contract for the 2025-2026 school year Key Responsibilities: Manage a diverse K-8 caseload with varying behavioral needs Deliver individualized instruction and support within resource classroom environments Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to implement effective IEPs Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation Participate in parent meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions Qualifications: Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience working with K-8 students in a special education setting Ability to manage complex behaviors and adapt instructional strategies accordingly Strong communication and organizational skills Flexibility and readiness to support both in-person and virtual learning environments Benefits: Health, vision, and dental insurance 401(k) retirement plan Candidates interested in this opportunity will have both in-person and virtual interview options available.
