This position seeks a skilled paraprofessional to support students in a behavior classroom setting at an elementary school located in Athens, GA. The ideal candidate will have experience working with behavior-focused classrooms and possess the necessary qualifications and certifications to excel in this educational environment. Responsibilities: Assist teachers in managing and supporting students within a behavior classroom. Implement individualized behavior plans and strategies. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teaching staff. Support classroom organization and assist with instructional activities. Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to foster a positive learning environment. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Must hold a valid Georgia Paraprofessional License. Educational requirements include an Associates Degree or higher, completion of at least 60 semester hours of college coursework, or a passing score on the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment. Minimum of two years of college coursework preferred. Experience in behavior classroom settings is required. Willingness to comply with district requirements for three conducted reference checks prior to interview consideration. Location: Russell Middle School, Athens, GA Employment Details: Contract position for the current school year (CSY).
