Job Description Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our client in Twinsburg, OH. The ideal candidate will have a solid collections background and a passion for improving processes. This role supports the daily operations of the Accounts Receivable and Collections Department, ensuring timely collection of past due balances, accurate application of payments and purchase orders, and responsive communication with customers. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and brings technical capability along with a positive, professional demeanor. Responsibilities Make regular collection contact with past due customers and escalate issues when appropriate Communicate with customers via phone and email to resolve questions and concerns. Monitor and respond to inquiries received through the Accounts Receivable shared inbox. Research and resolve unapplied cash; ensure accurate payment posting. Apply purchase orders when applicable to the role. Maintain thorough documentation and keep management informed of significant collection matters. Participate in and support annual or state audit requests. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred; 3 years of recent experience in accounts receivable, B2B collections, or billing within a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and vlookups Ability to manage high transaction volume and multitask effectively. Strong analytical skills with the ability to research and resolve complex account issues. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability. Confidence navigating customer conversations and negotiating payment arrangements. A proactive, improvement-focused mindset-someone who identifies opportunities to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. Comfort working across multiple systems, software tools, and customer portals while handling a fast-moving workload.
