Job Description Job Description Collections Specialist (Contract-to-Hire | Hybrid) Location: Near Pittsburgh (PITTS), PA Work Schedule: Hybrid Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Pay Rate: Up to $20/hour (based on experience) A leading organization near Pittsburgh (PITTS), PA is seeking a motivated Collections Specialist for a hybrid, contract-to-hire opportunity. As a third-party recruiter, LHH is partnering with the hiring team to identify candidates who are driven, professional, and ready to grow their careers in credit, collections, and accounts receivable . This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, customer communication, and achieving results-while working toward long-term employment. Key Responsibilities Perform outbound and inbound collections via phone and email to secure payment on past-due accounts Negotiate payment arrangements and resolve outstanding balances professionally Manage a portfolio of customer accounts from invoicing through cash collection Research and resolve billing discrepancies, short payments, and credit issues Collaborate with internal teams such as Sales and Customer Service to resolve disputes Maintain accurate documentation of collection activity, payment commitments, and account notes in ERP systems Utilize Excel and reporting tools to review aging and prioritize accounts Qualifications Required: Previous experience in collections, accounts receivable, finance, or customer-facing financial roles Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to remain professional, firm, and customer-focused Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and learning new systems High school diploma or equivalent Preferred: Experience supporting large account portfolios ERP or accounting system experience (Oracle or similar preferred) Strong negotiation skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Why This Opportunity Competitive hourly pay up to $20/hour Hybrid work environment Contract-to-hire with long-term potential Opportunity to gain experience with a reputable organization Support from a dedicated recruiter throughout the hiring process How to Apply Apply with your resume to be considered.
