amount of $6,300) /n UPMC Shadyside is seeking full-time CT
Technologists to join our team! Our department offers a variety of
shifts: /n /n - 7am - 330pm Monday - Friday, including rotating
weekends. /n - 3pm - 11pm Monday - Friday, including rotating
weekends. /n - 4 10-hour shifts (varied) including rotating
weekends & every third weekend midnight. /n /n If you are ready to

see where your career can take you! /n Responsibilities: /n /n -
Performs computed tomography procedures utilizing established scan
protocols, including contrast administration without requiring
constant supervision. /n - Utilizes complex imaging equipment for
the acquisition, analysis, reconstruction and documentation of
image data and completes procedures according to protocol. /n -
Ensures all exams within his/her area of responsibility are
properly coded and tracked through RIS system, all exams are
properly networked to ISITE for archiving and interpretation, and
all charges are adequately entered for the exams performed. /n -
Administers PO, rectal and IV contrast per physician
orders/department policy and assess patients for potential risk
factors prior to the administration of the contrast media required
for the imaging procedure. /n - Performs a variety of technical
procedures that require independent judgement to adjust protocols,
and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation appropriately
for diagnostic CT purposes. /n - Reviews patient history and
assesses physician orders, applying specific departmental protocols
for optimal results in the acquisition of data. /n - Documents
patient history in electronic record as required. /n - Demonstrates
proper technique in venipuncture; demonstrates proper use of power
injector according to set protocols set by department and/or
manufacturer. /n /n - Graduate of an ARRT approved school of
Radiologic Technology or completion of accredited CNMT program.
ARRT registry eligible technologist must obtain ARRT registry
within 6 months of hire date. CT registry must be acquired within
18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired. CNMT
graduates must obtain CNMT registry within 6 months of hire date.
/n /n Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: /n /n - ARRT
certified as a Radiologic Technologist is required or certified by
a CNMT program. ARRT registry eligible technologist must obtain
ARRT registry within 6 months of hire date. CT registry must be
acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was
acquired or date of hire if primary registry is already obtained.
CNMT graduates must obtain CNMT registry within 6 months of hire
date. /n - CPR or BLS Required. /n - CPR required based on AHA
standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration
component within 30 days of hire. /n - ARRT Certificate OR Nuclear
Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) /n - Basic Life Support
(BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) /n /n UPMC is an Equal
