Hybrid work schedule (Downtown Cleveland office) Excellent compensation and full benefits package Significant PTO and flexible work culture Opportunity to work closely with firm leadership and make high-impact contributions Consistently ranked among Cleveland's top employers The Senior Staff Accountant will report directly to the Controller Key Responsibilities of the Senior Staff Accountant: Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reports Analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP Collaborate with external auditors and manage audit preparation Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis Drive improvements in accounting systems and operational efficiency Mentor junior accounting staff and provide leadership on complex issues Assist with multi-entity consolidations and intercompany transactions Coordinate with cross-functional departments including billing, payroll, and legal operations Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred) 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience Prior Big 4 public accounting experience is required Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with executive leadership Location & Compensation: Hybrid role - Downtown Cleveland Salary range: $100,000-$115,000 , commensurate with experience Clear path toward Assistant Controller or Controller-level advancement law senioraccountant development opportunity hybrid
