Job Description:

Tax Accountant: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and filing tax documents in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. You will play a critical role in ensuring tax accuracy, minimizing tax liabilities, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of tax laws. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and file federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations Analyze financial data and records to determine tax liabilities and ensure compliance Assist in tax planning and develop strategies to minimize tax liabilities Respond to tax authorities and manage audits or tax notices as needed Provide support during month-end and year-end closing processes Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred) Minimum [2-5] years of experience in tax accounting or a similar role Strong knowledge of U.S. tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., UltraTax, ProSystem fx, or similar) and Microsoft Excel The Tax Accountant role is fully on-site in Akron, OH with a pay range of $30 - $60 per hour depending on experience.
